Navistar International said it plans to close its foundry operations in Indianapolis in summer 2015.
An integrated die casting cell capable of manufacturing net-shape magnesium and aluminum castings has been successfully installed and operated at The Ohio State University, the first of its kind at any U.S. university.
The plant will include a new aluminum casting and machining facility capable of producing two million calipers per year destined for the company's customers in the NAFTA region.
